MAUD is an interactive synthesizer mural that I helped develop with Incite. The idea was to create a musical experience in which the barrier to entry was low because no matter what they did, the sounds or melodies they triggered sounded like they had a place in the mix. We wanted someone with no musical background whatsoever to be able to interact with MAUD and feel excited and intrigued by the experience they had.
I helped develop the concept of MAUD and sort out the thinking behind the synthesizer architecture and how things might work together, as well as the visual language.
MAUD was exhibited at HVW8 gallery, ComplexCon, and EDC.
