Maker Studios - Polaris & The Station
In 2016 I worked with Incite on an identity and branding project for the online content creators Maker Studios. We were asked to rebrand two of their main channels, The Station and Polaris. I worked with our team on the development and design of the logos and implementation strategies for these channels.
For Polaris, a video-game centered channel, we developed a logo that exists in several glitched out states, celebrating the imperfections and ever-changing state of video game culture. For secondary graphic elements we made use of a grid pattern that sometimes appears in games when a texture is missing.
The Station was one of the early comedy video platforms on the internet. We took this idea of web video and pushed it into an absurdist realm by making use of video container graphics, and broken video iconography.
